Public Meetings for Proposed Cleanup Projects

Windsor Railyards Recreation Park Project

The proposed redevelopment of the Property for recreation reuse includes the addition of landscaped lawn areas, a dog park, skate park, picnic table area, gravel walking paths, and associated parking spaces.

The clean-up or corrective actions will involve the management of soils containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) to mitigate the potential exposure of impacted soils to future property users during and after redevelopment. PAHs are common contaminants in soils from urban or industrial areas but also occur naturally.

Mitigation will be accomplished through implementation of a soil management plan with installation of engineered sheet barriers to isolate impacted soils and use of institutional controls to ensure engineered controls.

A public meeting will be held on July 24th at 6:30PM at Windsor Town Hall during a scheduled Selectboard Meeting to discuss these clean-up activities.

Central & Main Windsor Housing Project

The plan for this property consists of redevelopment into a new three story, twenty-five (25) unit mixed-income residential apartment building. As part of the redevelopment project, three (3) existing abutting parcels will be redefined into two parcels known as Lot 1 and Lot 2. The development will be on Lot 1 which is currently a .58-acres vacant lot.
