2026 Regional Plan 

The Mount Ascutney Regional Commission (MARC) updated its regional plan to comply with Act 181. The new future land use categories are spelled out in state law and mapped according to statewide guidance.  
 
The Commission adopted the 2026 Mount Ascutney Regional Plan on July 27, 2026 following the second public hearing. In August 2026, we submitted the adopted Regional Plan to the Land Use Review Board for approval. You can find more information about the process on the LURB's website.

The 2026 Regional Plan for the Mount Ascutney region is in three Volumes.  The first contains most elements including, but not limited to, the land use and housing elements.  Volume 2 is our transportation element, and Volume 3 is our enhanced energy plan in accordance with 24 V.S.A. §4352.
